Privacy Policy

Your Privacy Matters

CountdownPro is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your data belongs to you and should stay with you.

Data Storage

All data stays in your browser. CountdownPro uses IndexedDB and localStorage to store:

  • Timer configurations and labels
  • Timer history (past countdowns you've run)
  • Your preferences (display settings, sound settings)
  • Custom timer templates

Important: We do NOT send any of this data to our servers. Everything is stored locally in your browser.

No User Accounts

CountdownPro does not require registration, login, or any personal information. You can use the timer completely anonymously.

No Tracking or Analytics

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics services, or any form of user tracking. Your activity on CountdownPro is private.

Browser Permissions

CountdownPro may request the following browser permissions:

  • Notifications: To alert you when a timer completes (optional, only if you grant permission)
  • Audio: To play alarm sounds when timers complete

These permissions are entirely optional and only requested when you use features that require them.

Shared Timer URLs

When you use the "Share Timer" feature, timer configuration is encoded in the URL. Anyone with this URL can see the timer settings. Only share these URLs with people you trust.

Third-Party Services

CountdownPro does not integrate with any third-party services, APIs, or external platforms that could access your data.

Data Retention

Since all data is stored in your browser, you have complete control over retention:

  • Data persists until you clear your browser data
  • You can delete individual timer history entries at any time
  • Clearing browser cache/cookies will remove all CountdownPro data

Changes to Privacy Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Questions?

If you have questions about our privacy practices, please note that since we don't collect any data, there's nothing we can access, modify, or delete on our end. Everything is in your control through your browser settings.
